Tried it alone
Someone who was where you are

Grant started over more times than he could count

He'd started working out and stopped again more times than he could count. Same story with dieting. Bursts of effort that never quite came together.

In his late thirties he tried getting back in shape properly and ended up hurting himself. That was the moment he decided this was simply going to be him — out of shape for the rest of his life. He says he wasn't ready to accept that yet.

What changed wasn't discipline. It was having somewhere that held him to it, instead of going when it happened to be convenient.

“It's more progress than I've ever made in any of the longer stints of actually working out of my life.”Grant · a few months in

His advice for anyone still deciding: the sooner you start, the better you can feel.

Two coaches

Who's coaching you

Every story on this page runs through the same two people. No franchise, no rotating staff, no being handed to whoever is free.

People who train here

And they're not the only one

Different starting points, different reasons for putting it off. Ask any of them what changed and you get roughly the same answer in different accents.

Quit before

“I noticed a change almost immediately after the first session.”

Leah
Has quit more things than most people start, including two other gyms. This one stuck.
Had trainers before

“It was empowering, versus other places where it almost feels a little crushy.”

Chris
Worked with multiple trainers before this one. Stayed for the way the foundation gets built first.
63 years old

“I have never thought I'm too old to do anything.”

Tommi
63. Works on mobility and form with Avery, and gets pushed into the things she says she can't do.
What actually happens

The first three weeks, honestly

Most places sell a twelve-week transformation. Here's what really happens, in the order it happens, according to the coaches who watch it every week.

Week one

We assess how you move before we load anything. You'll be sore. We tell you that up front so it doesn't surprise you into quitting.

Week two

The soreness eases. You sleep better. Kam's line for it: the first symptom of working out is just feeling better.

Week three

The programming clicks and the fatigue lifts. This is where people stop making themselves come in and start wanting to.

Month three

The visible change. By then it isn't motivation holding it together, it's a habit with a plan behind it.

Your free session

No pitch, no pressure, no crowd

Exactly what the first visit looks like, so nothing about it is a surprise.

First

We talk

What you want, what's gotten in the way before, what your body has been through. Ten minutes, sitting down.

Then

We train

A real session with a coach, scaled to exactly where you are today. Not a test. Nobody else in the room watching.

You leave with

A written plan

What to work on and in what order, on paper, whether or not you ever come back.

Still deciding

The things people ask us first

Do I need to be in shape already?
No. Most people who walk in here haven't trained in years, and the first session is scaled to whatever you can do today.
Is anyone going to be watching me?
No. It's a private studio, one coach and one client. There's no wall of mirrors and no audience.
Is this a sales appointment?
You'll train, and you'll leave with a plan. If it's a fit we'll tell you what training here costs. If it isn't, we'll say so.
I'm over sixty. Is this for me?
A good share of who trains here is. Avery's background is in physical therapy, and programs get built around what your body can handle now.
What if I have an injury?
Tell us at the assessment. Working around injuries and rebuilding after them is a large part of what happens in this room.
How long before anything changes?
You'll feel better by about week two and see it by month three. That's the honest answer, not the marketing one.
